Beacon Baptist Exploring the Hebraic Roots of Our Faith Although we identify as a Baptist church, we understand the Torah is not obsolete, Shabbat is on the 7th day, and we observe the Biblical festivals - Not your typical Baptist church! Our studies are actual studies of Scripture and not 20 minutes of denominational commentary. We approach studies from a first century Hebraic perspective looking at the language, culture, history, and society of the time portions of Scripture were written to better understand who was writing and to whom it was written, and the purpose of the message and how it applies to us today. 4/24
